Invitation

Words of Welcome,

Dear Colleagues:

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to attend the Western Canadian Breast Cancer Conference: Review and Updates for Best Practice, to be held in Vancouver, British Columbia June 24th and 25th, 2011.  This builds on the success of our inaugural meeting in 2007.

The symposium is divided into 4 parts including predictive markers in breast cancer, followed by focus on early and advanced breast cancer, as well as survivorship.  This has come about from the tremendous body of research that has evolved recently.  Of course, when there has been such a wealth of information, there are also some controversies.  The data fueling these existing controversies will be covered.   Thus, this symposium is designed to provide a comprehensive review of the many facets of breast cancer.

A glance at the agenda will reveal we have been most fortunate to assemble an outstanding faculty for this meeting.  Case presentations will highlight current treatment standards and feature discussions of where the new therapies could be positioned. There will be opportunity for audience participation via keypad polling devices with the entire clinical faculty featured during the panel discussion. We aim to bring a Canadian perspective to the management of Breast Cancer patients and look forward to your input as to ways in which we can work together to optimize the care of our patients.

We look forward to your participation in the symposium which promises to be both a valuable educational experience for you and will result in huge benefits for your patients living with breast cancer.

For details of the meeting, see www.wcbcc.ca
